Organization Information
The Riverdale Fire Department is organizied into two management groups. The Firematic group is lead by the Fire Chief and Corporate group is lead by the President.
Interested in becoming a member?
Just stop by any Monday night after 7pm and we will be glad to discuss the benefits of being a member, as well as, the requirements.
- You must be a resident of Riverdale, or work in the Borough
- You must complete 150hr Firefighter 1 class during your first 12 months of membership
- To remain an active member you must attend 40% of the fires, drills and meetings
Many of the benefits are based on your level of participation. The more you particiapte, the higher the benefit.
- Up to $200 per year clothing allowance
- Up to $1,300 tax deferred award per year
- Up to $9,000 death benefit
- Eligibility to reside in the NJ State Fireman's home
- Tuition reimbursement at county colleges
